I discovered Lewis through TikTok and even showed a few of his videos to my mom. While I’m a bit younger than Lewis, my mom and I laughed at his videos because they reminded us of my emo teen self. While our journeys in life are hardly similar, and I still identify with my biological sex, I absolutely loved this book and told my therapist friend about it. Funny and so adorable! I love Lewis’s relationship with his mom! It’s so addictive I read the whole book in a single sitting! There is a few strips of nudity as well as a couple suggestive scenes (very brief), so absolutely intended for kids who have/are learning about puberty! And of course, you get what you pay for. I’ve grown up around trans friends, and LGBTQ community. My uncle, as well as my sibling are gay, and gay culture has always been something I’ve grown up with.
