It was manufactured by McCord Radiator & Manufacturing Co. of Detroit, Michigan and exhibits a lot number of "61B", approximately dating its production from mid 1941 to early 1942. The helmet retains an original olive drab field repaint, cork texture, and OD#3 (khaki) chinstraps with a cast brass buckle carried over from the M1917A1 and a particularly short J hook side

Be warned, if you get black, the shirt may actually be white inside. I ordered the black with white poka dots. The shirt was nice enough an would have looked okay completely buttoned to the top, however, if you wear the neck open like the model shows in the photos, the shirt is not like that. The shirt has an unsightly white liner which totally shows if you wear the neck unbuttoned at all.
