I added a center channel speaker, and it was partially blocking the remote sensor. This solution works like a charm and has an easy setup. One end points towards the existing IR, and the other end goes where you are going to point the remote to. The only suggestion is to include a USB connector with the product, so I don't need to find one.

Fantastic product! I have a center channel for my surround sound that blocks the infrared sensor on my Sony Bravia TV that never works.
