The cable uses multi strand copper conductors covered in XLPE low density Polyethylene insulation and gently twisted together. These are then encased underneath two PVC layers which house the foil screen. The cable is flexible and 9mm in diameter making it easy to use and the foil screen simply tears off at the ends, it should not be connected as it is

Easy to handle, hard to crimp.

This cable is easy to manage (bend, etc) because it has an aluminum core. But for that same reason it is harder to effectively crimp, even with a hydraulic crisper.
